As an owner or a manager it’s natural to keep ‘growing’. However with growth often comes complexity and if you’re not the one doing the work it’s sometimes hard to see. If your employees do one task then it’s easy, do more of that one thing and have a greater result. Where employees generally struggle is when they’re asked to do more and more diverse tasks. The issue for both the manager and the employee is now that if the employee is not succeeding at one task they are often criticized negatively on their entire body of work.

The thing we need to keep in mind as entrepreneurs and managers is that multitasking doesn’t really work. If you’re trying to do many things at the same time you will do all of them worse than you would have done any individually. With this understanding it’s definitely easy to see that there are potential tasks that your employees should “Stop” doing. Let’s say, Jenny, is the person you have processing all of the online orders also receives all of the inbound calls, emails and web chats. If they make a mistake on an online order the customer is unhappy and so are you. It also costs your company money and possibly your reputation. You also notice that Jenny is making more mistakes and you just can’t understand why she isn’t as committed or as detail oriented as before. Take a minute to think back to that time, Jenny was only doing the online orders but when Bobby left you figured that since Jenny had some small windows of bandwidth she could handle those tasks to. Don’t forget Jenny could have been afraid to say No, in addition you added web chat after she took these tasks over. Also emails are up 40%.

Hopefully you can relate to the story. This is happening to Jennys in businesses everyday. We need to define what is the core responsibility for our employees and then everything else becomes distracting “noise”. Noise is something that we are experts in fixing. Noise is something that is distracting your employees from core functions that can easily be outsourced. NOW you know how to find what your employees should STOP doing. If you have tasks like this you can definitely hire more employees internally but as you know that comes with it’s own logistic and financial challenges. Leverage BPO was designed specifically to fill these roles and take the burden off of you.

This is, obviously, not the only scenario where we can. We help companies from a reduction of “noise” perspective as well as a virtual assistant perspective, data entry perspective, a complete call center function perspective and many more. We have become excellent at designing custom solutions to your problems. Let us help your employees “Stop”.
